Often times when we are told to think of Gods blessings for us, we jump to material things. Money, Cars, Clothes, Homes, Food, even Jobs. But is not the God we serve bigger than material things? Has he not blessed us with so much more.
David spoke of all the things we have to be grateful for in Psalms 103. Funny thing is he never mentioned his IPhone, Lexus, or promotion. What he did mention were blessings that meet the descriptions below.
Forgiveness/Healing/Sacrafice
Love/ Mercy/ Good
Youth/ Renewel/ Righteousness
Justice/Revelation/Mercy
Graciousness/Patience/Calmness
Endurance/Love/Forgiveness
Mercy/Easyness/Removal
Cleansing/Father/Tenderness
Compassion/Vision/Oversight
Love/Eternity/Salvation
Everlasting Love/ Creation/Ruler
God is so much more than material things. He has done more than we give him credit. When we think of the goodness of Jesus and all that he had done, our souls should remember these things over those material things.
